Snoqualmie Falls

Today it was so nice and warm, and the skies were so clear, that we felt as if Mother Nature was practically begging for us to go out and do something fun. We decided to spend the day at Snoqualmie Falls. Snoqualmie Falls is a 268 ft (82 m) waterfall on the Snoqualmie River between Snoqualmie and Fall City.



We decided to hike down to the bottom of the waterfall. Here are the kids taking a break on our hike down.

Once you get down to the bottom of the hiking trail you can go on this boardwalk at the end of which you get to see a pretty impressive view of the waterfall. But if you still want to get closer you can just jump over the boardwalk and make your way through the rocks and into the river. That's what we did. The kids were such good troopers as we made them climb down a pretty dangerous path just to get to the river.

Once down, we all kicked off our shoes and socks and just played in the water and enjoyed the amazing views around us.



After a while we had worked up quite an appetite, so we headed back to the car (Rich and Kaitie hiked back to the car and came and picked us up at the bottom) and got some burgers and ice cream at a cute little diner in the old part of the city of Snoqualmie. The kids wanted to pose next to this totem pole, so here they are.
