Christmas is here!

The first item of business after returning from our long Thanksgiving trip was to set up the Christmas tree and get in the holiday spirit. Unfortunately for Rich this year it meant that he had to drag the huge box containing the tree out of storage from the basement and onto the main floor all by himself, since I couldn't help out. But it was worth it. We succeeded once more to cover practically our entire living room with our huge 9 ft. tree. The funny things is that once we were done decorating, Nicki went to the tree, gave it a big hug and said: "don't worry tree, we'll get some more decorations to make you look better". Needless to say, since my two year old even noticed the lack of decorations (it's hard to collect enough stuff to cover that entire thing) I made a quick trip to Michael's to get some more stuff for our tree. Of course now Nicki keeps talking to the tree about how we'll get it some presents. She really thinks they are for the tree. Aren't kids funny?

It is fun to see how gently Nicki will touch the decorations, since she knows they are made of glass and would shatter easily.
